Writing Reports
Structure of a report
Title page

Include your name, the date and for whom the report is written
Terms of reference
Briefly include who will be the audience of the report, the purpose of the report and how it was written
Abstract
Directly describe the content of the report. It should include the aim of the report and the findings. Avoid describing in detail, it should only include the main points.

Introduction
Explain the aims and objectives of the report in details. Include research methods, any problems and also background history.
Methods
List the procedures of the report, materials used and preparation to write the report

Discussion
Use headings and subheadings to structure material clearly. Use bullet point to present a series of points
Conclusion
Appendices
Include supporting information that is not published. Use tables, graphs or surveys.
Bibliography
Alphabetically list the sources you refer. Texts which you consulted but did not refer could be grouped under a separate heading
