Gerunds and infinitives
USE
INFINITIVE
After some verbs like: forget, hope, learn, try, remember, need, etc.

GERUND

After some verbs, like: enjoy, finish, love, mind, prefer, stop, etc.

Third Conditional
We usually use third conditional sentences to talk about how things could have been different in the past for hypothetical / imaginary situations
Negative
Example: If Karla hadnt gone to the training course, he wouldn
t have met his wife.
Affirmative
Example: If I d`known about the meeting, I would have gone.
Structure
IF+PAST PERFECT+COMPLEMENT, SUBJECT+WOULD HAVE+PAST PARTICIPLE
Quantifiers
Large quantities
Use A LOT OF or A LOT in affirmative sentences
Use A LOT when there is no noun
MUCH / MANY are usually used in negative sentences and questions
Use PLENTY OF in affirmative sentences

Small quantities
Use LITTLE + uncountable nouns
Use FEW + plural countable nouns
VERY LITTLE / VERY FEW = not much / many

Zero quantity
Use ANY (+ noun) for zero quantity with a negative verb
Use NO + noun with with a positive verb
Use NONE (without a noun) in short answers
