SPREADSHEETS

ADVANTAGES:
- data can be presented in a graph, makes spotting trends easier
- can be imported into other documents and can be shared electronically.
- data can be formatted to meet the needs of the audience.
DISADVANTAGES:
- can take a long time to create.
- not easy to manipulate the text.
- errors may be introduced if dad is entered manually.
DATABASES
- used to store and process data and text.
- allow entry, storage and processing of data.
- stored in a table(a file that is made up of records)
- contains queries to find specific records and validations can be set for different fields.
DISADVANTAGES:
- knowledge and skills is needed to set up a database.
- queries can be difficult to formulate.
-errors may be introduced if data is entered manually- errors in data entry, validations or queries can affect results produced.
ADVANTAGES:
- data can be filtered and queried to find relevant results.
