The Lyford Model - Outlined in D Nobile et al (2017) Classroom culture is considered on of the "4 preventative practices
Definition - Classroom culture... is about the way your classroom works. It can be defined as "how a class operates as evident through teachers and students shared understandings about the way things should be done, and established rules and procedures" (De Nobile et al, 2017)

Key Elements
Praxis
Ritual - Actions associated with ethos and rules that reflect an important aspects of class
Rules - A set of guidelines describing appropriate behaviour that reflect values, expectations and the classroom ethos.
Classroom ethos - Commonly shared beliefs about learning, behaviour and other aspects of life
Theoretic
Expectations - How teachers want students to behave. How students want teachers to operate the classroom.
Values - Ideals and states of being that teachers and students deem important to life in the classroom
Beliefs - Students and teachers convictions about what classrooms should be like
Operational
Routines - Step by step ways of doing things that are specified by the teacher - sometimes with student input - and which allow a class to run smoothly
Procedures - Routines or sets of routines that guide students and teachers, and which have become established classroom practices
Classroom Climate
Definition - Comprised of student and teachers perceptions of the learning environment, based on the combine effects of the levels of support, respect, academic focus, classroom culture, organisation and quality teaching (De Nobile et al, 2017)
