- - - - the five year plan was a plan to modernize china in the span of 5 years in which they introduced collectivization, and they made peasants produce steel in their backyard which not only made weak steel but sic they were industrial workers no one worked as a agriculture.
    - - when Mao banned arrange marriages this impacted people because it changes the social norms which was arrange marriage, but with that social ideal gone it started to change society as a whole.
    - - Mao band the old traditions of foot binding. this impact displayed how Mao was actually modernizing China in the sense that all of old China is getting rid of for the betterment of the country.
    - - the 100 flower campaign allowed Chinese citizens to express their concerns, compliment and complaints to Mao and his government to "make china better as a whole" this impacted citizens because They were able to make free speeches which concern everyone, but Mao got negative criticism, since Mao was expecting positive reviews he then took this as an opportunity to attack and kill all those who opposed.
  - - - One women policy which was that women could join the workforce, this impacted women because it made women more individual as they could earn money for themselves without having to have a man be the bread winner.
      - another policy was that women could now get land in redistribution which impacted women because this let women gain land without having to marry a man, thus they could be independent.
    - - Mao subjugated the Tibetans in China.
      - Mao annexed Tibet into China for a greater population
- - - - Mao kept his power by always displaying that he cared for China as a whole and only wished for its betterment. For example in the beginning when Mao and Jiang were rivals Jiang stated that their priotrity was beating the CCPD instead of Japan which displayed that they didn't care about china.
    - - Mao's treatment of his opponents were to get rid of them. for example the 100 flower campaign was a way to express critizism, compliments and complaints. but in actuality Mao use this as a way to kill or sent all that opposed him to laggai which were working camps that would change a person if they were to work in the country side and work on peasants level.
