The Pharaoh status as a god came with a lot of responsibilities. People blamed him if crops didn't grow well or if diseases struck. They also demanded that the pharaoh make trade profitable and prevent wars.

The duties of the pharaoh grew. To help carry out these duties, they pharaoh hired government officials. Most officials came from the pharaoh family.

The social structure
below the nobles was was a middle class of lesser government officials, scribes, craftspeople, and merchants.
Egypt's lower class was about 80% of the population, was made up mostly of farmers.

Everyone was expected to worship the same job, though how they they worshipped the gods might differ from one region of Egypt to another.
