How has humans’ use of the local area changed the environment (use of land)
Think about both pre and post treaty of Waitangi.
Focus this on Auckland and North shore area.
Research, symbols, facts and figures. Remember to put in references.

The use of humans has effected lots such as loss of land, Most of the north shore was farming land but now all of that is buildings.

When Peer Brown arrived, He removed all of the tutu trees, and turned his land into a farm with an orchard, apiary, crops and pastures.

I think the use of land has grown massively and that if it keeps on going like this the land will be fulled up in a few years and that they differently will have to expand the land.
Tony :
Humans use of the local land has changed Browns Bay drastically, In the past decades, people have built all sort of things to keep citizens in Browns Bay entertained, for instance the Ice Rink.

Sohan- Brown's Bay was used for farming now there is so much infrastructure like hotel's, beach resorts and also you have the harbour bridge that stretches to the city.
Humans have changed the land a lot. Nearly all the land was farmland and now we have changed that to become industries, shops, houses etc.
The use of the land has changed dramatically from when the brown family first arrived . first it was a land the nobody wanted because it was covered in a venomous New Zealand plant called tutu tree, then the browns arrived cut a lot of them so they could use that land as farm land then the town started to grow so they had to build more houses a school all those things that were necessary but over the past 100 years, Browns Bay has developed so much in order to accommodate the growing number of permanent residence. Today it has around 4000 residents and over 200 businesses within the area.

The environment has change because the population of the North Shore has grown so farm land and bush areas have been cut down for housing and commerical property.

I think that humans changed the north shore to much there use to be trees growing every where and now there are houses, shops and people filling it all up. When the Maori ruled there were only small maraes spread around the island each one with there own way of living of the land.
