UNCERTAINTY AVOIDANCE
organisations with weak uncertainty avoidance have the following features
- undertaking risk
- tolerance towards differing opinions and behaviour
- flexibility
organisations with strong uncertainty avoidance have the following features
- avoid risk
- strong requirement for consensus
- have a number of standardised procedures, written rules and clearly delineated structures
- respect for authority
- little or no tolerance for deviants
- promotions depend on age or seniority
