Legions
In the early days of Rome, there are as much as half a million Roman soldiers and to assign them into different groups named legions and Auxiliaries. Legionaries, these are the group of 4000 - 5000 soldiers that contain 17 - 18 year old soldiers that are most fit for battle.
These soldiers are always on the front line and will always do the biggest part in battle, these are also the most valuable soldiers in Rome. The Legions were then separated into more groups named centuries and centurions. Centuries are ground troops holding swords and shields ready for the front line. Meanwhile centurions are in charge of heavy weapons like rams and catapults launching devastating attacks.
