"Yes, ma'am" or "No, ma'am". Overall, he was very polite when talking with Adnan's defense attorney. He never got overly emotional or defensive when he was yelled at.
"Just that, whatever you do decide, I'd like you to know that I have a real hard time even sitting here because I feel people look at me, and they think I'm a horrible person and that. I'm really sorry for my part in what happened".
Showed real remorse at the end of the trial. Overall, his calm demeanor during the trial and the honesty he showed, especially at the end, helped sway the jury to believe him, even with interrogation inconsistencies.
Physical Description
Tall and lanky but in an athletic way. He played lacrosse in high school and could run fast. He was stoic and considered "unconventional".
