The main obligation of the carrier under international contract of carriage is to deliver the goods to their destination in the condition in wich they were handed over to him by the shipper or his agent, otherwise he will breach the contract of carriage.

Vans are frequently used to transport smaller cargoes shorter distances.
Driving time and rest periods
These rules establish that:
Total weekly driving time may not exced 56 hours and the total fortnightly driving tie may not exceed 90 hours.
Daily rest period shall at least 11 hours with an exception
Daily driving period shall not exceed 9 hours, with an exemption of twice a week when it can be extended to 10 hours.
Weekly rest in 45 continuos hours, which can be reduced every second week 24 hours.
Breaks of at least 45 minutes should be taken after 4 1/2 hours at the latest.
