The USA has formal diplomatic relationships with most of the 193 states recognised by the UN
MASS MEDIA:

Much of this material is now and increasingly accessed online as well as still being available in physical form.

American TV programmes are broadcast around the world
SPECTATOR SPORTS:
sporting events such as the NFL Super Bowl now reach a worldwide audience through the broadcast and online media
International audience figures are difficult to calculate but an estimated 38 million watched the 49th Super Bowl in 2014
BRANDS AND CONSUMER GOODS:
Lower down the ranking non-American brands do appear and so do more brands that offer products of a physical nature.
US brands are among the most recognised internationally. However, the pattern of ownership, mergers and acquisitions in the TNC population is extremely complex.
