Examples include mean text messages or emails, rumors sent by email or posted on social media, and embarrassing pictures, videos, websites, or fake profiles.
Children who are being cyberbullied, are often bullied in person as well.
Can happen 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It can happen at any time, even when the child is alone.
Messages & images can be posted and sent anonymously very quickly, and can be very difficult to trace the source.

Parents should be aware of what their kid(s) are doing online. Talk with your kids about cyberbullying and other online issues regularly.
Parents should establish rules about technology use with their kids. Rules such as: be clear about what sites they can visit and what they are permitted to do online, help them be smart about what they post or say, encourage kids to think about who they want to see the information/pictures they post, and to keep their passwords safe and not to share them with anyone.

When cyberbullying occurs, document it immediately and report the behavior.
