Left untreated: The body will be more susceptible to other infections and diseases as the immune system weakens.

Viral Infection: infection caused by the presence of a virus (cannot grow or reproduce apart from a living cell.)

Method: Decrease in sexual activity would have helped prevent the likelihood of HIV and Aids being passed on.

Common symptoms: fatigue, swollen lymph nodes, weight loss, diarrhea, and ulcers, etc.
Direct Effect: Increases risk for flu, cold, and pneumonia.
