After the French and Belgian troops fell to the Germans in 1940. Britain was the only country fighting Germany. The Germans ran air strikes on major cities in England called BLITZKRIEG. When Germany attacked Russia in 1941 the nation finally had an ally and when Japan attacked the U.S in the same year they gained another ally. These three countries where named the allied forces. These three nations turned the war around in 1943 when they succssfully invaded Italy.

Japan was a member of the Axis power. They were the country thet pull the U.S into WW2 by bombing thern and Pearl Harbor. After being bombed twice by the U.S with atomic bombs, Japan was the last Axis power to surrender during the war on August 15, 1945 ending the war.
