- Sunday before easter Sunday, Celebrates Jesus' arrival to Jerusalem (people threw palm branches on the road). Anglican + Catholic celebrate with small croses made of palm leaves.
Maundy Thursday
- Thursday before easter day, celebrates passover meal with disciples (Last Supper). Christians reeber this by sharing bread + wine at Holly communion, Eucharist & Mass.
Good Friday
- Friday before easter sunday, Christians remember Jesus' crusifixition (Jesus atoned for sin of mankind).
Easter Sunday
- Marks Jesus' resurrection (Mary Magdalene discovered empty tomb), God raised Jesus from dead, Jesus given eternal life in heaven
Importance
Celebrates resurrection of Jesus & proves him to be the son of the Mesiah.
Recognises sacrafice of jesus & God's love in sending his son to redeem the world.
