Stone Age
Paleolithic
Lasted from 2,000,000 - 10,000 years ago.
Paleolithic means old stone age.
The people of the Paleolithic age had nomadic lifestyles, and lived in trees and caves.
We were able to control fire around 400,000 years ago. Fire helped us scare wild animals away as well as a source of light and heat during cold times (night or day).
Some Paleolithic tools were the hammer stone, along with core and flake implements.
The Paleolithic age was split into three parts; the Lower, Middle and Upper Paleolithic ages.

Copper
Bronze, which was an alloy of copper and steel.
Steel
Iron
In the Chalcolithic age, people started to use metal tools like swords, axes, shovels and sickles. These tools were very good, since they were more durable than all stone tools.
In the Chalcolithic age, people completely gave up their nomadic lifestyle, and stayed in one place for ever.
This is the period in which the Greeks, Romans, Egyptians and Indians were very famous and popular. They were basically governing the entire world at that point of time. There were also smaller civilizations that were growing such as the Chinese and the Mesopotamian. The Persians were also a big civilization in the Chalcolithic age.
This was the period in which farming was fully integrated into the early human's lifestyle. This was also the cause of the early humans fully settling down in a particular place, for generations.
This was the age in which the first wars were fought, as ewll as the age in which the first weapons were smelted (swords and spears were then made of metal).
Mesolithic
In the Mesolithic age, we see the beginnings of Agriculture. Some crops that were grown were
In the Mesolithic age, new tools called Microliths were invented. Microliths were basically flake implements which were very small.
The Mesolithic humans started to live in places for a longer time, for they could wait for the crops to grow and then they could harvest and eat them. Some people in the Neolithic age would build houses and stay there for the rest of their lives.
Another new tool that was invented in the Mesolithic age is the bow and arrow. The fishing rod was another tools that was invented.
Fish was also a important element in the Mesolithic age, for people soon began to depend on it even more, the longer the idea of fishing was there. Fish eventually became one of the main food that the people of the Mesolithic age ate.
Neolithic
The Neolithic age was the time where agriculture was widely used across many continents. They grew emmer wheat, einkorn wheat, hulled barley, peas, lentils, bitter vetch, chick peas, and flax.
The Neolithic age also showed the first signs of Domestication of animals. Some animals that were bred were cows, ox, wolves and horses.
The Neolithic age used tools for farming such as sickles and plows. The tolls were also made from a highly refined rock called basalt. Some new tools were also hammers, axes and spears
In the Neolithic age, the early humans abandoned their nomadic lifestyle, and lived in many colonies of 5 - 10 families. These colonies were made to help the early humans stay safe from wild animals like lions and leopards
In the Neolithic age, the early humans invented the wheel. Some historians believe that early humans watched logs rolling, and got the idea of using a wheel as a form of transportation. This invention was followed by carts, chariots and even vehicles similar to buses.
