  - - - Managing such museums is not free, there are people working there that need to be paid and if we want such locations to stay, we need to pay so as to fund them.
        
        Moreover, in some places museums and galleries aren’t getting enough funds from their respective sponsors such as the government. Therefore, they need to impose payments to gather more funds.

      - In Britain
        
        In Britain, many of their museums do not have entry fees but some museums are starting to impose some due to the lack of public funding
        
        Some may even say that -A charge for entry might actually make people value the museum more. After queuing and paying to get in a French or Spanish museum you feel a certain thrill on finally entering its galleries. Perhaps our culture of free entrance makes museums seem more ordinary and detracts from their wonder.

        In the last century our museums were free – and they were dowdy. Today they are great cultural centres – and they must stay that way. In tough times, is it better for museums to sell off their treasures, to cut back staff, to shrink and dwindle – or to charge an entrance fee?
