space refers to the way that things are arranged on the earths surface. geographers look for patterns in the way features and structures are arranged:
- location- where things are located on the earths surface
- organisation- how and why things are arranged and managed on the earths surface
- spatial distribution- the shapes and patterns in which things are arranged on the earths surface
environment
the living and non-living components and elements that make us an area, and the ways they are organised into a system. some are natural or physical
interconnection
geographers use this concept to better understand the links between places and people, and how these interconnections affect the environment and the way we live.
