Design Task - Safe and Comfortable Home
Possible Users
Disabled people
Those with either mental or physical disabilities often spend large periods of time in their home, thus leaving them susceptible to problems in the home. I could design a product to aid those who are disabled and spend a lot of time in their house/indoors, making the house more comfortable or safe.
The elderly
Elderly people often have decreased obility, and thus stay in their homes a lot more than someone with full mobility. This means that they could run into more problems around the hourse, giving me an opportunity to design a product to make their home safer or more comfortable.
Work from home workers
Those who work from home spend a lot of time indors, and thus need their house to be both as safe and as comfortable as possible.
Children
Children are often more inquisitive than adults, and thus are more often exposed to dangerous objects/things. I could create a product to decrease the amount of danger that children are exposed to.
Pets
The lack of direct understanding between owners and pets means that pets are often exposed to dangerous objects. I could design a product that increases a pet's safety in the home.
