Characterisitcs of an ancient civilization in Egpt, the eastern Mediterranean, the Indus Valley, China, and the Americas
Eastern Mediterranean
Physical Geography
The Eastern Mediterranean terrain is made up of predominant countries such as Syria, Jordan, Israel and Lebanon. The countries are for the most part dry receiving vey little rain.

History
Over the centuries many Islamic empires have rose and fell. They gained independence around the time of World War II. Six wars took place in the region during the next 25 years because of Arab opposition to Israel for it´s security.
Population Distribution

Dry desert climates cause the majority of people in the Eastern Mediterranean Region to live along the coastal plains and in the Euphrates River Valley. Lack of water and small land areas create high population densities.
Culture
The people practicing Islam in this specific sub religion follow the Sunni branch. Ramadan is the Muslim holy month. Hebrew and Arabic are official languages in Israel. Artist and writers found inspiration in religion

The Great Wall of China was built to keep nomadic tribes from the north out. The Chinese currency started with small shells then copper coins then ended with paper money as seen in most other civilization now in modern time.

Ancient China was ruled by dynasties. To dominate Chinese law, that punishment for all crimes would be harsh and universal. Confucius urged the Chinese to exercise restraint in the imposition of law upon the people.
Economic Activities
In China, as in West Asia, most people have spent most of their time farming for the last ten thousand years. In northern China, people mostly farm wheat, while in southern China it is mostly rice.
Religions
The main religion in China is Buddhism. Other religions include Taoism, Confucianism, Islam, and Christianity. Confucianism was the first religion in China.

China was settled in the 5000 B.C. China was never fully colonized, however parts of Chine were colonized. October 1st, 1949 China became independent.

The different tribes
Found ways to live in deserts, along the coast lines and on the grassy prairies. Plurality of different tribes with different languages dialects and different cultures. Hunted, to be completely depended on farming.

Was and still is a big and important part of their lives. Working together as one team, despite many different duties. Men and women clearly defined roles in the Indian society

The Religion
Did not have one single religion but did have many beliefs. Each tribe has their own unique believes, legends and rituals, but the sky, sun, moon and the earth were called Wankan Tanka. Ceremonies often includes feasts, music and dances and other performances. Spiritual goal was to live in harmony with nature
Totem
totem poles were Native American constructions. They were very special to each Native American individual, family, clan or tribe, as they represented their qualities and virtues.

Native Americans lives in most of North American, in many different environments, like the mountains, the desert, on the coast and even in the artic. The Native Americans were very close to nature, and so that meant that any changes in the environment around them would also affect them.

The social structure of Ancient Egypt consisted of main classes: peasants, artisans, scribes, priests, government officials, and the pharaoh

The religion of Ancient Egypt was a polytheistic religion. They worshiped many gods, and sometimes believed that pharaohs were chosen by gods or were gods themselves. The Nile was even a major part of them after life when pharaohs died, they mummified to preserve their bodies for the afterlife.
Stable Food Supply
In Ancient Egypt, the Nile River was the source of their food, as well as many other things. The lowest of the 6 social classes, peasants worked as farmers to harvest the food.

Pharaohs were the leaders of Ancient Egypt. Many Pharaohs gained faith from people by declaring they were gods. The General of the Armies, obviously, advised the pharaoh in the wars and security of Ancient Egypt.

The Egyptians were known for making 2 dimensional paintings in which the eyes of the human were on the side of the head. They painted everyday life, along with important events and wars.
Written Language

The Egyptians wrote in a language that used symbols and characters in the place of letters. That was called Hieroglyphic. The Hieroglyphic was writing on papyrus, a type of paper made of reeds found on the banks of the Nile.
Indus Valley
Advanced Technology
Most of the tools they had were made of bronze and sometimes copper and iron. Their weapons were made from bronze but the Mesopotamia´s had more advanced ones. They also were the most advances on their sewerage and drainage system.

Fed by the Himalayan Mountains. If they could control the mountain, then the land near the river could be used for farming. The valley got these things called monsoons. With greater wealth they built larger cities.
