Health checks
Department daily health surveillance
Any symptoms as on our health surveillance list the engineer then is told to self isolate and not go to any homes
The symptoms list must be gone through with the engineer
Individual reporting health problems
Ringing home to make sure engineer can come in and checking on any infections in the home
Checking what the anti infection procedures are in the home and abiding by them
If these are not adequate in the opinion of the engineer is is to report to the office for instructions before continuing
Dangers to the residents
Contamination to the Corona virus or other sickness brought in by the visiting engineer
Serve sickness- fatalities in relation to the corona virus
other serious contaminations
Safe guarding issues
DBS checks
Procedures in home
Having a member of staff when working in a room with a resident
Where possible equipment taken out of room where resident is
dangers and risks for the engineers
Contamination of virus from residents
Check with home on infection issues
Any residents who may have been isolated
Leaving the home
Hand washing with sanitiser
Disposal of gloves used before sanitising hands
All disposable elements used properly sealed then disposed at the end of the day
Equipment and resource
PPE
Gloves
Masks
Protective suit if needed
Wipes an sanitiser etc
Safeguarding from residents with mental issues
Check with staff on any mental or illness situation they may encounter
Where there is home staff should accompany
