Research
- Malala when she was 15 the Taliban came to her town and said no girls are allowed to go to school but she disobeyed them and went to school, so when she went to school one day she was on the bus to go home a Taliban man shot her on the left side of her face but significantly she survived and woke up 10 days later in hospital.
- Malala was the youngest ever woman to get the Nobel peace prize being 17 years old.
- The United Nations named July 12th as "World Malala Day" its to honour woman and childrens rights around the world and they also made it on her birthday which is the 12th.
Connection
a) Malala Yousufzai was connected to the victory against the British in the 1880 battle of Maiwand. Also Malala blogged about her experience living under the Taliban's conditions for the BBC.
b) She has made everyone think about what would of happen if girls weren't aloud at school, we are connected to this because I wouldn't be here writing this scrapbook Homework if she didn't do anything. Malala made our lives better as a campaign, advocate for girls' education, champion of human rights and Nobel Peace Prize winner, Malala's words and actions are inspiring and gives hope to people all over the world.
Significance
I think Malala Yousafzai is a very significant person and worth of a scrapbook entry because On 10 October 2014, Malala Yousafzai was announced as a co-recipient of the 2014 Nobel Peace Prize also Malala has gone threw so much as a child on 9 October 2012, while on a bus in the Swat District, after taking an exam Malala Yousafzai and two other girls were shot by a Taliban gunman in an assassination attempt in retaliation for her championing that girls should go to school and learn.
values
Malala showed all of the values of a globally minded citizen but the two ones that stood out for me were risk taking because I would never stand up to the Taliban because I would not of wanted to die but Malala did and that is the most bravest thing to do has a young lady. My second value I chose was caring because Malala Yousufzai cared for every girl in the whole world who wasn't aloud too attend school and she wanted that to change as son as possible.
