One of the most important men in science was Sir Isaac Newton who developed a series of laws pertaining to force which proceeded to define major aspects of physics

Newtons 2nd Law of Motion:
To cause on object to speed up or accelerate a force must be applied. The more force you apply the quicker you accelerate, therefore:
Force = Mass x Acceleration

Net Force

Mass is inversely proportional to acceleration, acceleration is directly proportional to Net force, and mass is inversely proportional to net force.
Using the proportions above:
if acceleration is 12, mass is doubled and net force is tripled, the new acceleration is 18
Newtons 1st Law of Motion:
Objects at rest tend to stay in motion while objects at rest tend to stay at rest
Also called law of inertia
