Physical adaptation interventions occupational problem 1: Barrett will sit in a postural supporting chair that has a raised tray to improve shoulder stability (Case-Smith, 2015, pg. 402).While in this position, Barrett will reach for his mouth a total of 10 times alternating between his left and right hand (Case-Smith, 2015, pg. 401) with minimal assistance from the therapist. SECOND INTERVENTION: Barrett with use adaptive utensils with a spoon that contains a shallow bowl and attempt to self-feed 10 bites, alternating between left and right hands with an elevated tray. (Case-Smith, 2015, pg. 401). Adjusting Barrett's postural support focuses on improving movment patterns and energy-efficiency for him (Case-Smith, 2015, pg. 51).
