Symptoms appear after an incubation period of 2 to 10 day. symptoms include sudden fever, sever headache, and general malaise
Fever lasts 3 to 5 day followed by a week of afebrile condition follow by another relapse of fever. the relapses occur 3 o 7 time due to antigenic variation.

Ticks(endemic)
Cause by a variety of B. species. common by B.hermsii. rodents and small animal are the main resovoirs (zoonotic disease).

Stages
stage 2: organism disseminates through blood resulting in: myalgia, arthralgia, skin lesions, and lymphadenopathy.
Stage 3: arthritis, followed by CNS and Cardiac dysfunction.
