- - - - The Human Condition is when you can only see your self no one else. This can happen in two ways; one, when you are as greedy as Scrooge, or two if you are having a really hard time and can only think about yourself in this difficult time in your life.
    - - The time when Dickens wrote A Christmas Carol, the society was broken into social classes. The affluent upper-class, who were the 'top-dogs', they had lots of money. And then there was the lower-class, who worked like dogs for the upper-class, and even though they worked like dogs, they were very poor, and unable to provide for their families, which were usually very large.
    - - Ignorance and Want the young children shown to Scrooge by the Ghost of Christmas Present. These children are to symbolise the problems of men. The children have had their youthfulness taken away from them. The people that are rich, only think about themselves, they are ignorant. The people that are poorer, all they do is want, they want more money, food, and more resources in general. Both these problems are bad, and deadly, however because we are looking at Scrooge, he is more likely to fall for ignorance, and because of this, it will be his downfall.
