Trenches
Set up: There were two big trenches on either side of the war and then a big space in the middle called no man's land
Deaths: The trenches were super deadly because no one could go into no mans land without being shot at by machine guns and the trenches had terrible conditions which caused widespread disease
Weapons
Machine Guns: These could fire a ton of bullets much faster than ever before which increased the death and casualty rate
-
Submarines: These prevented the transport of materials and were unstoppable until the US came into the war
Tanks: These were bullet-proof vehicles that had machine guns on them which allowed soldiers to cross no man's land without dying
