Educational Improvement Teachers (EIT)
Provide educational support and challenge
Work alongside the Children's First Hub (CFH)
1:1 support sessions to support issues beginning to surface around: behaviour, self-esteem, transitions, puberty and family dynamics
HOW TO ACCESS: Referral to CFH through a Multi-agency referral form (MARF). CFH can then ask for an EIT practitioner to become involved
Speech and Language Therapy
Difficulties regarding unclear speech, stammering and feeding
Difficulties understanding (comprehension)
Difficulties putting words together (expressive language)
Difficulties relating to others (eg. facial expression, eye contact)
HOW TO ACCESS: referral via post, email or directly from GP (form on website). Parent workshops available (details on SALT website)
Child and family Inclusion Team (CFIT)
Part of the EP service
Therapeutic approach - can work with groups of children
Aimed at early signs of mental health difficulties
Free mindfulness session available for Year 6 at any Wakefield school
Mental health support offered for families (6-8 sessions offered)
HOW TO ACCESS: Y6 mindfulness - just ring or email to book, for individual / group work complete CFIT referral form
