VIRUS
found everywhere
we ingest and inhale millions of virusses every seconds
some are bad some are good
ex of good: used in fighting diseases in crops, used for certain types of cancers
are very tiny
they are not living
some scientists think all cellular life on earth descend from virusses
complex collection of organic matter able to self replicate
inside DNA or RNA in single or double stranded form
Influenza is spread through large respiratory droplets
are fought with the production of antibodies by inserting a little quantintity of it (vaccine)
use the help of many molecular machiens to replicate
to replicate it must infects certains kind of cells : through the help of genetics materials virus infect cells and trasforms them into mindless virus producing robots)
virus use its outer protein shell to bind and join to the membrain of a cell: this determines what cells can be infected by the virus
once in the virus go through biological pathways to force the cell either to accept its genetic material or take in the entire virus itself
then the virus will begin to use its molecular arsenal to hijack cell's protein manifactuirng systems and DNA replication mechanism
As a concequence the cell will produce shell proteins filling it with the virus DNA making copues of the virus
the vreation of virusses continues untill the cell is filledfill the cell of virusses
then virusses bursts from the cell with the intension of infecting other cells
Bacterial cells are 200 times larger than viruses
bacteria can reproduce on their own
Bacterias can be help us breaking down food and in producing vitamins
bacterias are treated with antibiotics while viruses with rest and hydration
examples of virus: Rhino virus,influenza,
examples of bacteria: ulcers,salmonella
