Great Compromise:This was where the 2 houses house of legislature came. The senate having equal representation for all states and the house of representatives having representation proportional to state populations. The 3/5th compromise

This was where 3 out of every 5 slave would be chosen as people to vote in the colonies. They made this for the southern states to give them a one third more of seats in congress and a third more of electoral votes.

**New jersey plan:
This was where each state would have one vote in congress instead of the number of votes for each size of population. Virginia plan: This was where each state had a different amount of votes depending on the size of there population**

shays's rebellion (1786 to 1787)
this rebellion was an armed uprising which was in western Massachusetts and was in dept. so the State government increased the collection of the peoples taxes for trades and individuals. This caused farmers and people to go crazy and rebel against that action.
northwest ordinance
: This was a government for the northwest territory that was providing a method for allowing new states to the union from the territory. It was also listed as a bill of rights.
division of powers between states and federal government.:
This was where all constitutional powers were divided between the U.S government and the U.S state governments. In article one the states were also restricted by the constitution.
strength and weaknesses of the articles:
some of the strengths were that there is only one vote per state regardless of the size of the state. Also congress has no power to regulate trade between states and that each state could tax trade between the other states. Some of the weaknesses are that the articles made the federal government too weak to enforce laws and pretty much had no power.
