Sibely Commission
Even though John Sibley was a segregationist, he was more serious about massive resistance .

The Sibley Commission helped to prevent the violence cause by desegregation in the south , but this showed the schools ways to delay change. Therefore any attempt to desegregate would be canceled out until the 1960s.
Albany Movement
Began in the fall of 1961 to the summer of 1962. It was the first major stepping stone to the Civil Rights Movements.
The Albany Movement included many protests which unfortunately resulted in almost 1000 African Americans to be jailed.
Even though efforts failed, the failure in Albany and many neighboring rural cities, lead to the success in Birmingham , Alabama
SNCC vs. SCLC
Activist groups who's goals were to end racial segregation against the marginalized black community.

State Flags
"Bonnie Blue" was used when Georgia seceded from the states. It features a blue background with a single white star. This flag was adopted in 1961 and was used until 1965. As well as the Confederate Flag and the Georgia Militia Flag
