The Polyvagal Theory
by
Seth Porges
Personal Experience
Past Trauma
I have felt the red zone with a past traumatic event in my life.
In that moment, I did freeze. This was something I never thought would happen to me. I also never thought I would react to in that way. I really like how Seth included this in his presentation. That is a reaction you hear a lot from people. Everyone will always ask "Why didn't you run?" or "Why didn't you fight back?". Watching this presentation, I realized it was more than just my mind. I was in that Red Zone and I just could not help it. Overall, I thought this presentation was very informative for so many different reasons.
