Revolution of Oct in 1917, during this time, provisional gov. still did not pull Russia out of war, so because of this, Bolsheviks signed the treaty of brest-litovsk, which is where Bolsheviks stormed into the winter palace and wish to overthrow the provisional government.

War Communism vs NEP
The War Communism was made by Lenin to relieve the economic decay in the civil war. Lenin replaced this war communism in 1921 with the NEP because he wanted to take a capitalist approach, this NEP was to focus on gaining more money.
Requisitioning made the economy poor because of the lack of food and starvation was staring to occur.
