Psalm 142 by David when being in the cave: YOU are my refuge
come and say to the Lord?
I cry to the Lord with my voice
O Lord, I cry to You
I say,"You are my refuge, my portion in the land of living."
I plead for mercy to the Lord with my voice
I pour out my complaint before Him
I tell my trouble before Him
David telling God his conditions
his heart in weakness
when my spirit faints within me, you know my way
no one cares for my soul
attend to my cry for i am brought very lowly
facing surrounded dangers
in the path where I walk, they have hidden a trap for me
for they are too strong for me, deliver me from my persecutors
bring me out of prison
(so) i may give thanks to Your Name
but no protection or help from others
no refuge remains to me
there is none who takes notice of me
David's belief in the end
YOU will deal bountifully with me (his relationship with the Lord who loves him)
the righteous will surround me (not weapons, powers, curses ...)
