Performance
Definition: Performance assessments measure students based on skill using activities, exercising, or authentic tasks.

Formative
Definition:
Formative assessments are ways to see what the students learned from the lesson that just happened. This way teachers adjust or reteach the lesson to better the students learning.
Examples: Exit Card
You ask students a main point question.have them write their names and their answer.

Interim/ Benchmark
Definition: Is a assessment that is given at different period in the school year. it measure students achievement from where they started and their growth over time.
Example: STAAR (The State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness) This assess student's achievements and knowledge in the grade level.
Example: MAP this assessment is a computerized test to show students achievement in reading and math.
Summative
Definition: Summative assessments focus on what the students have learned at the end of a unit or topic. This will be after everything has been taught on that topic.
Examples: Midterm Exams. This can show what the students have learned at this point in the school year.
