- - - - You walk around the store admiring the full shelves of various and diverse arrays of plastic CD cases and novelty items. To your right, you see an interactive display for a new video game console and to your left, you see a shelf with various novelty toys.
        
        Ooh toys!
        
        BEEP BEEP BEEP As you reach for a limited edition Dr. Ghoul and the Dastardly Cadaver figurine, a siren goes off. Immediately, a laser rifle emerges from the ceiling above you and aims directly at your head.
        
        Don't. Move. A muscle.
        
        You stand as still as possible. Eventually, the clerk at the front desk looks up. "Oh sorry dude. I got you." he says as he presses a fob and the laser rifle retracts back into the ceiling.
        
        Act normal. You aren't guilty of anything.
        
        GET OUT OF THE WAY
        
        As you begin to move away from the shelf, the last thing you hear is a charging hum from the rifle before it fires.
        
        Keep browsing
        
        As you walk further into the store. The ground beneath you begins to soften. Each step forward seems to be more and more difficult. You look down and see that you are in a pool of quicksand and you are beginning to sink
        
        FUCK!
        
        You give up all hope. After all, when it's your time to go, it's your time to go. At least nothing matters!
        
        Don't move. I read somewhere that struggling makes it worse.
        
        You continue sinking deeper and deeper until the quicksand reaches your chin. You close your eyes as you remember, "maybe that was dinosaurs..."
        
        Look around
        
        You examine your surroundings looking for something useful to help you escape... But you find nothing... This is a video game store not Indiana Jones surplus.
        
        Play the game
        
        You walk up to the display. It reads: "Get f*ckin' immersed." The newest generation of Z-Cube sits inside a Plexiglas cabinet. There is a controller and a monitor that reads: "Grand Larceny X." Below is the option to "Start Demo"

        The game starts. You watch as a digital copy of yourself is assembled on the screen in front of you. The digital you is in a car, driving down a street. You pull into a parking lot and step out of the car...
    - - There is one customer in front of you: They are struggling with their purse. Items are falling out one by one (an amulet with a glowing ruby that seems to be whispering to you "Morlack will destroy you all", a Level 5 D-STR mk. IV Plasma Pistol, a coin purse, and a pack of gum.
        
        Mind your own business and patiently wait your turn
        
        You wait patiently while the customer fumbles around. You notice that they are getting more and more frustrated. In a snarling terrifying voice they roar:
        "I KNOW I HAVE IT IN HERE SOMEWHERE"
        The clerk, who looks like if the kid from middle-school who ate his lunch in the teacher's room rolls his eyes and says:
        "Ma'am if you don't have a receipt, then I can't give you a refund for the game."
        The customer which you now recognize as a mature Grudlack Warrior roars at the small skinny clerk:
        "GIVE ME A SECOND"
        "Ma'am, if you could just step aside so I can help the next cust-"
        The warrior then rears back and fires a stream of radioactive saliva at the clerk who screams in agony as the acidic fluid dissolves the clerk into a pile of mush.
        
        Do nothing
        
        The furious Grudlack unleashes a booming screech that shakes the store and then storms out of the store swearing in Grudish. You see a button on the desk with a sign: "If no clerk, press button for assistance"

        Grunt from frustration
        
        The customer turns around and blows a raspberry directly in your face spraying you with radioactive saliva it corrodes through your flesh as you scream in agony
        
        You are DEAD
        
        Pick up the amulet
        
        It glows bright in your hand. You feel a strong and dark energy within the amulet. It whispers to you: "Unleash my wrath and I shall give you power unlike anything this realm has seen."
        
        Put the amulet in your pocket.
        
        Put it back where you found it. That's too intense.
        
        Put on the amulet
        
        "Yes... Very good my child... You should be commended for your reliability and servitude... " Your vision begins to darken as you hear the voice echo in your head, "It's too bad that your body must be sacrificed in order for the ritual to be complete..." Demonic laughter rings throughout your mind as your vision fades entirely to black...

        Destroy the amulet. It's too powerful.
        
        You draw the Sword of Promised Truth and pierce the amulet with the tip of your blade. A bright red energy surges out of the amulet. "YOU FOOL WHAT ARE YOU DOING? NO- NO FOR REAL- STOP THAT. STOP THAT RIGHT NO-EEAAAARRGHHHHH" rings in your ears as the amulet shatters and a wave of energy explodes from the gem. When you open your eyes, the customer as well as the clerk are gone... Piles of ash lay where they once stood.
        
        Draw the Sword of Promised Truth
        
        The magical sword hums in your hand ready to bend to your will

        The customer turns around and you recognize them as a mature Grudlack Warrior. "You dare to challenge me"? They release a sinister laugh and roar, "Do you know who I am"?

        Catching your opponent off guard. Your sword swings with the fury of a thousand winds and, with little to no resistance, slices clean through the customer's neck. Their head falls forward and lands on the desk. The customer's body slumps forward and lands propped against the front of the counter. The clerk looks rather surprised but doesn't move. After a brief moment, from the severed esophagus of the customer spouts a glowing green fluid that splatters onto the clerk's face. The clerk screams in agony as the fluid sizzles and smokes and melts through the skin on the clerks face. He falls over dead.
