Passwords
Passwords should be secure and not contain accessible information such as birthday, middle name, etc.
E-mail and online banking passwords should be more secure than regular passwords.
Students should always write their passwords down in a secure place.
Private Information
Students should understand how to protect details such as their e-mail, address, and phone number from people who will abuse it.
Students should understand how to tell a protected site or person asking for this information compared to a bad site and/or person.

Students must be able to properly cite the work from a website they are using information from. If not, it is known as plagiarism and is illegal.
Students should know how to find the correct way to cite sources and find the original source if needed.

Photographs
Students should always be aware of their surroundings in pictures. The surroundings can always give away their location. This includes street signs, license plates, etc.
Students should understand how to turn off the geotagging feature and be careful with facial recognition on their phones due to longitude and latitude coordinates.
Personal Information
Personal information should be carefully shared on the internet.
People can use personal information against you, especially if it is your address, your full name, your date of birth, etc..
People have been known to steal identity through the amount of personal information somebody posts.
Protection
Students should be aware of bad links and ads that may cause viruses on their computers.
Students, again, should be aware of putting their personal information in passwords due to an increased risk of identity theft.

Students should understand copyrighted material (legal protection given by the laws of the United States to a person's creative "literary, dramatic, musical, or artistic works."
Students need to understand that only citing google images or the site with copyrighted materials is illegal.
Students should learn how to generate a license for their own work as well, otherwise it is known as public domain and is fair use to the public.
Professionalism
Students should be aware of cultural differences and how to react positively when they find those disconnects.
Students should be aware of the difference between casual online language compared to correct grammar.
Personal Brand
Students must realize that how they act online gives them there own trademark (tattoos) on the internet.
Students should be aware of their voice on the internet and should research what they are sharing their opinions on.
