- - - - A possible social impact of this app is that it may be able to change traditional societies mostly negative view of gaming and gaming culture. By showing the history of gaming and the impact that it has had on many people this may inflict change on a large audience.
    - - A possible economic impact of this app is that it may be able to encourage the further purchase of games. As features such as the random game picker function encourage people to try out and play new games, thus, buying more games and progressing the economy.
    - - A possible personal impact of this app is that it may encourage a range of people to take up interest or take more of an interest in gaming and gaming culture. This could decrease the stress of some users as it has been proven that casual gaming can reduce stress.
- - - - Allows the user to choose between finding random games within a certain genre (eg. iOS, Linux, macOS, etc.) or without - a blind search of all games available.
      - Only shows games from game jams and as such exposes the user to a more indie side of gaming culture. This allows them to find interesting a unique games that may not have turned up on a more general game database.
      - When a game is chosen, a detailed information page is brought up that shows sample gameplay, recent updates, and a brief description of what the game is about and a more detailed blurb when you scroll down
      - Due to the limited data pool of the app, and given the condition that game jams are conducted under, many of the games that the user may be chosen could be incomplete or simply bad due to the time limitation of games made in jams

- - - - Home page - This page will only show the essential buttons to access the other functions of the app and will not be cluttered to allow for the user to be greeted with a simplistic and minimalist UI when they first launch the app
      - 'Search your favourite games' page - This page will be somewhat bare to keep the users attention on the game boxart thumbnails shown, these will also occupy a large amount of space and as such most of the screen real estate will be taken by them and the brief descriptions of the games
      - 'History of gaming' page - This page will be primarily focused on the main inforgraphic centred in top of the screen that will give an overview history of gaming. However, when the user selects a category to search the screen will switch to one only containing games in the genre that they have chosen and will be listed from oldest to newest
      - 'Don't know what to play?' page - This page will be focused around a central pair of die, this button will randomly pick a game without criteria, unless the user has input criteria in the window directly below
      - 'Bookmarked games' page - This page will show two easily distinguishable sections showing a users most recently added bookmarked games and the top three most rated in their bookmarked list. A show more button will be at the bottom of the screen, that when clicked will show the user their entire collection
      - All screens will follow Schneidermans Eight Golden Rules of Interface Design as best as possible to ensure that the users experience is as good as possible to ensure that they continue to return to this app instead of the many existing competitors
    - - All buttons will be clearly distinguishable from the monotone background colour to allow the user to easily define buttons and text fields as interactable
      - The app is to be extremely effective in allowing users to access and interact with video game data in a meaningful, interesting and innovative way.
      - The user will be asked whether they would like to give their data to the developers to provide a better experience. If no is selected than the users information will not leave their device to ensure that private data is not leaked
      - The app will fulfill the users needs search for games, find new games, and discover game history to a great extent and will allow them to achieve said tasks quickly and without unnecessary steps
      - The user interface will be extremely bare and simplistic to allow for users to understand and develop proficiency in navigating the app quickly
      - All buttons will be clearly labelled with easily readable icons that immediately distinguish interactive and non-interactive parts of the app
      - Button sizes, colour blind settings, language, and other features will be able to be changed in the settings tab to allow for the widest range of users possible
  - - - SQL will be used in this task to create the infrastructure and back end of the app
      - SQLite will be used to program the SQL into database and tables that will be used to store user data and movie lists
      - Xcode will also be used to create the UX as well as the front end of the app, features that the user will see
      - Swift will be used to create the functionality of the app in conjunction with Xcode
      - The database that will be created will be a relational schema which will consist of three main tables, being; game_list, studio_list, and bookmarked_list. Other tables may be included, however, most likely not as it is recommended that the app is as efficient as possible and does not include redundancies

        Gives most of the relevant information needed to meet the requirements of the data needed for use in the app, however, is missing usable ratings as a relatively small sample size was used to gauge the quality of the games, these were also not referenced and may be inaccurate.
        
        Does not provide identifiers for the games and uses naming characteristics that shouldn't be used in a digital environment
        
        Does not provide a range of scoring data and as such does not allow for useful information to be gathered about the quality or popularity of a game
        
        Gives a large amount of more technical data that would be useful in a more detailed overview of the games including; max players, multiplayer, if it has a sequel or re-release, and whether it has ports onto other platforms
      - vgsales.csv
        
        All games already have a unique identifier in the form of a rank
        
        Gives a url that can be used directly from the app to show the user a thumbnail of the boxart of the game
        
        Gives a large amount of information about the sales of the game which can be transformed and used in the app as how popular the game is or as to be seen under a detailed overview of the game
        
        Gives both the critics and user scores of the game, however, no information is given about where these ratings come from and as such their reliability is questionable
        
        Massive sections of the data set are left blank in relation to their global and regional sales, thus, non of this data can be used as it is too inconsistent
        
        Gives all relevant information needed to meet the requirements of the data needed for use in the app including; Name, genre, rating, platform, publisher and developer, critics and user score, release date, and the amount of copied sold (millions)
      - Comparison
        
        The vgsales data set gives more useful information regarding the popularity, assumed quality of games through the use of multiple sources of scoring as well as the total amount of copies sold. This gives more information to work with when selecting how games will be displayed to the user and how a better game will be differed from a worse one
        
        Both data sets include information that is unclear and not useful to the task which will not be included when creating the relational schema
        
        Both data sets include essential information needed to create the app, however, the information given on the vgsales data set is more relevant to the context and application, these include the inclusion of a last known update, box art url, most relevant genre, and a url to the games official page. This will allow for more information to be given to users that wish to know more indepth about a game before they buy it or who are simply interested in learning more about it
        
        vgsales.csv gives both the developer and publisher allowing for users to have more control over their search to be able to find specific niche or indie developers. Compared to video-game.csv which only includes the publisher of the game
    - - Search bar and History searching - This will contain mainly 'LIKE' queries, this will allow the user to input the game title, publisher, rating, score, or genre and be returned a field that matches. The '%' wildcards will be used on either side of the user's input so that the query returns a movie with the same value. The user will also have to tick a box below the search bar to indicate what they are search so that the record can be searched
      - Bookmarking (adding) - When the user wants to add a game to the bookmarked page - a field (the game) will be added to bookmarked_list through the use of 'INSERT TO'. The data will be displayed to the user in ascending order so that the most recently added field is the first displayed
      - Bookmarking (removing) - When the user wants to remove a game, the field that contains the same game id will be deleted from bookmarked_list through the user of the 'DELETE' clause
      - Category search - if the user would like to search for a genre, rating, score, year of release the same SQL clauses will be used as searching for a movie name, however, if the user would like to search for a game name and specific genre - eg. Mario (racing) - an 'AND' query will be used. This will allow the user to search for games that match multiple records and allow them to find specific games in a certain genre
      - Retrieve games from the database and add them to a bookmarked list
      - Update the recommended movies on the search page with user bookmarked data
      - Allow the app to create a random number a pull a game that with a matching id with or without criterion applied.
    - - Requirements
        
        The user's bookmarked games will be stored in a separate table so that it can be more easily altered and manipulated as it is predicted to be one of the most used feature of the app
        
        The scoring and copies sold of a game will be stored in a separate table as it will be used more for determining the popularity of the game and its quality than being queried
        
        All other information about the game including; rank (id), name, genre, ESRB_rating, platform, publisher, developer, year, last_update, url, and img_url will be stored in a separate table to make it easier to query the specific information that a user is likely to search for
