Thyroid storm is a decompensated state of thyroid hormone-induced, severe hypermetabolism involving muiltiple systems and is the most extreme state of thyrotoxicosis.The clinical picture relates to severely exaggerated effect of THs due to increasedrelease or, rarely, increased intake of TH.
