Management
Radioactive iodine is given orally
Medication is taken before surgery
Beta blockers can control signs and symptoms
Patient should not elongate neck after surgery
Patient should remain in bed for about 48 hours after surgery
Patient should be on soft diet
Symptoms
Poor heat tolerance
Fine hands tremor
Rapid pulse at rest
Increased pulse
Weakness
Risk factors
Occurs more often in older people
Female and older than 50 years
Toxic nodular goitre start from simple goitre
People who may had goitre had a nodule for such a long time
Pathophysiology
Leading to the growth of nodules
Which may progress into hemorrhage
TNG represents a spectrum of disease produced by a single hyperfunctioning nodule

Involves an enlarged thyroid gland
The gland contains areas with increased size forming nodules
