The grassland biome has concentrated rain for six to eight months with an average rainfall of 50.8 inches. the soil is very porous so it doesn't retain much water. There isn't that much biodiversity because grass can survive the best in the grasslands and there aren't many trees. the cottontail is the only organism to eat the grass, but the cottontail is eaten the most in the food web. There are many different tertiary consumers compared to producers and primary consumers.
Animal adaptation- skunks have musk to keep predators away/ snakes have small bodies to go in rodents' burrows and eat them.
Plant adaptation- grass grows from the base and not the tips/ berries grasses are thin so it doesn't use too much water.
