Passed a billion dollar War on Poverty bill, and enacted the Economic Opportunity act, to train young men and women work skills to acquire better jobs. The more people working, the less people are in poverty. They also tried to raise minimum wage, but if raised too low it wouldn't be able to help people survive in decent living conditions, but if it was too high it would hurt employers and would not be able to provide enough jobs.
