Globalisation
Globalization shows how we are increasingly interconnected globally. It has things to do with our trade (Import and Export).
Trade
The transport of goods to another place for revenue. It happens in our world and over 18 trillion dollars of goods are transported each year. There are about 6000 planes in the air right now transporting goods all around the world. 17,000 cargo ships crossing the seas and more that 1 million kilometers of railway tracks for train transportation. Trade plays a big role in Globalization
Social media
Social media is another important part of globalization. it tells us everything in the world right now. You have the power to follow who you want to and gain knowledge from them. Another part of social media is news. New tells us what is currently happening in this world today. From economy to potential wars, and tells us how other countries are.
-
Political
How we are connected by the government. They make new laws and decides what to do and we see this all over TV and everything. They have the power for our rights and we listen through and make ever decision each day on what the laws and rights we have.
Tourism
Tourism is great for countries. It boosts their economy and millions and even billions of people are doing it each year spending abserd amount of money. Types of tourism include Recreation, Historical, Wilderness, Ecotourism, and Cultural Tourism. The most popular and most costly is recreational tourism. You spend lots of money on restaurants and hotels. This recreational tourism keeps Bali running. It makes most of its money by tourism and without tourism there would not be a Bali
LABDOW
Latitude
The position, like near the equator meaning its hotter
Altitude
Higher in the Air, Less air pressure, cooler
-
Distance From Ocean
Further inland it is hotter since you dont have the ocean but colder at night since you dont have the ocean but the ocean is a insulator which holds in heat
Ocean Currents
Patches of warmer and colder water in the sea moving different ways and can either heat up or coll down countries
-
Food Security
Food security is the ranking of how reliable and affordable your food is. It is ranked out of ten, obviously if you rely on local produce your food security is about a 6 since if a natural disaster happens, where are you going to get your food. If you rely on the whole countries or states food you will have a 8 or 9. It depends how you buy your food and where you live

Area and Grid References
Area Reference (AR)
-
-
4 figure references also known as Area References are specific coordinates to find a marked area on a grid. It is partly accurate but Grid referencing is way more accurate
Grid referencen(GR)
-
-
Grid Referencing is known as 6 figure references. This way is way more accurate than AR since you find its 4 figure refernce then split that cube into 100 and use the eastings and northings to find out the precise location
Biomes
Biomes share similar features (such as weather, climate, soil and landform) and are classified according to the types of plants and animals that live there
-
DAFTG (Main Biomes)
Deserts
Deserts are very dry place that experience under 200mm of rain per year. They happen to have really warm temperatures with infertile soil making it hard to grow crops.
Aquatic
Aquatic biomes are found under water and are also known as marine biomes. There is a biome called coral reef and that is where sea life mostly live and vast diversity in coral
-
Tundra
tundra biomes are found at the top of mountains. These biomes have no trees only some grass, very cold and not that much wildlife
Grassland
Grassland biomes has lots and lots of grass, they hold a very strong ecosystem with a lot of predators and survivors. there are a lot of animals and a lot of grass for food for all types of animals. They provide the bulk of humans population of food, corn, rice, wheat. The soil happens to be fertile so it is easy to grow foods and is a perfect places to live.
degradation
degradation means the ruining of land. Humans alter and degradate biomes by mostly population. If humans was to build a population on grassland they are going to build houses. This ruins the soil making it infertile, causing no crops to grow.
Threats to Biomes
Humans have really high demand for specific resources. Some of the resources could be fuel or even food. Forests are under threat for coffee demand. Each year we lose 13 million hectares globally for the plantation of coffee beans. This means corbon dioxide is released into the air making it warmer and causing more desertification meaning infertile soil.
Biofuels
Biofuels are fuels that are grown on farms other than food. This is bad because we are taking the perfect growing conditions for food and turning it into a biofuel farm. This messes up the economy making food more expensive and increasing food poverty. 15% of Brazil's power is run by biofuels so they have a very high demand and cut down loads of bush land to grow biofuels. They consist of palm oil, which comes from the African oil palm tree.
Temperature and climate
The temperature and climate changes biomes significantly. If the temperature rises 1 degree Celsius is melts ice. This 1 degree increase might seem little but it is big in the climate matter. Ice lands and snow biomes will come to threat in melting ice. This makes the animals that are use to their environment struggle and dont know what to when the ice melts. Polar bears get stuck on tiny icebergs that slowly melt and they would die in the middle of the ocean from drowning. The temperature can change the climate causing there to be decreased water. If this keeps on going on desertification will occur a lot around everywhere making infertile soil and bad growing conditions
