Academically: J struggles to participate in class activities, repeatedly has difficulty with answering questions or repeating vocabulary words. The assessment is very low-pressure, simple with prompts, short, motivated by sticker rewards and the students who had a little anxiety could hold a stuffed toy as support. He could not even get through the first half of the assessment and said he didn't want to do it (in Chinese) and walked away. Eventually, with the help of another teacher and a student who held his hand, he completed the test. He scored more than half of the points as "Not yet".
