Go beyond the jobs page as well, and assess the company’s website, employee, and social media profiles. Are there any signs that speak to their commitment to building a diverse and inclusive workplace? How involved do they seem in the broader community? Don’t rely on images alone, although those do send a message about the company’s sensitivity to featuring underrepresented minorities.
You won’t find a “Diversity for Dummies” handbook that explains how to treat everyone respectfully, because what qualifies as respect varies from individual to individual, from culture to culture, and from group to group. However, leaders who understand the importance of it all have one habit in common: They get comfortable talking about the topic, rather than pretending they don’t notice differences.

what cultural diversity means
https://www.partnershipinternational.ie/why-is-cultural-diversity-important/
recognition of the abundant diversity of cultures;
respect for the differences;
acknowledging the validity of different cultural expressions and contributions;
valuing what other cultures offer;
encouraging the contribution of diverse groups;
empowering people to strengthen themselves and others to achieve their maximum potential by being critical of their own biases; and
celebrating rather than just tolerating the differences in order to bring about unity through diversity.
Learning about other cultures helps us understand different perspectives within the world in which we live. It helps dispel negative stereotypes and personal biases about different groups.
how we can be culturally diverse
Increase your level of understanding about other cultures by interacting with people outside of your own culture
Avoid imposing values on others that may conflict or be inconsistent with other cultures
When interacting with others who may not be proficient in English, recognize that their limitations in English proficiency in no way reflects their level of intellectual functioning
Recognize and understand that concepts within the helping profession, such as family, gender roles, spirituality, and emotional well-being, vary significantly among cultures and influence behavior
Within the workplace, educational setting, and/or clinical setting, advocate for the use of materials that are representative of the various cultural groups within the local community and the society in general
Intervene in an appropriate manner when you observe others engaging in behaviours that show cultural insensitivity, bias, or prejudice
Be proactive in listening, accepting, and welcoming people and ideas that are different from your own

Being politically correct just means being considerate of perspectives other than your own. When we diss political correctness, we're basically dissing people's right to feel respected. Political correctness is not about being condescending or superior; it's about making sure nobody is harmed by damaging language. And I happen to think that someone's right to not be hurt is more important than someone else's right to hurt them.
