Mom
She promised that she will always support me in anything that I am passionate about and makes me happy.
Everyday, my mom fulfills her promise by putting aside her own responsibilities to make sure I am prepared for school and sports events/practices.

Dad
-
At the beginning of my freshman year, I remember having a talk with my dad. He told me that I should remember high school for the people I meet and the fun things I do, not the letters on a piece of paper that prevent you from having the best time in your life.
-
Sister
-
One moment she put this into action was when she allowed me to stay in her room away from the wrath of my parents. She allowed me to seek comfort and not be worried about the trouble I was in.

Uncle
-
-
Every time I see my Uncle Darren, he says that he loves me and is there for me. Although I haven't needed any serious help from him, I know that I can count on him. He also constantly asks how I'm doing. I know that he will keep his promise and be there for me when I need it.
Mr. Edwards
Mr. Edwards promised to treat me and the rest of the class as his own children for the entire school year.
My fondest memories of him is not him teaching, but interacting with the class and really understanding his students. His class was such a blast because he could teach while keeping the class in check and laughing. He gave me a nickname (O-Dog), and always made me smile.

Grandma
-
When I graduated from middle school, it was a hot day. The fields of James Logan High School must have been at least 85 degrees. However, that didn't stop my 77 year old Grandma from making the trip and sitting in the hot sun to see her grandson graduate... from the 8TH GRADE. I still remember seeing my Grandma with a huge smile on her face with sweat dripping from her sun hat.

Coach Adrian
-
After not playing well in one of my basketball games, I told Coach Adrian about it and asked him how I could improve. He responded not 5 minutes after at 10 o'clock with some advice that I utilized in my next game.

Tyler
-
-
Every day at school, me and Tyler see each other and always crack jokes. When I'm with him, I'm hardly ever not smiling and forget about any stress that is going on in my life
Lolo
My Lolo told me that he promised from the day I was born to cherish me and bless me in every way possible.
About a year ago, my Lolo gave me a bag full of jewelry. He said that it was a combination of stuff handed down to him along with things he has accumulated throughout his life. He handed down all of his blessings to me and I will make sure to do the same.
My Lolo, or grandpa, is Edward
Auntie
-
-
During Spring Break, Auntie Kim had no problem taking care of me when my parents went to work. She didn't just supervise me and made sure I was alive, she treated me like her own kid and we would always have a great time together.
Grandpa
-
Every time I visit my Grandpa, I want to learn more about my ancestors and my Grandpa's life when he was a kid. I enjoy talking to him and learning more about my family while gaining a perspective on life in a different time.

Moreau Basketball Team
-
My teammates and coaches made a promise to me saying that they will be my family on and off the court.
Whether it is the bus rides going to a game or just hanging out in the bleachers. My teammates are always having fun and making me laugh. There is not one time when I didn't enjoy the company of my teammates because they are joyful and very funny.
