Context
The who: The who is to establish what characters that people are playing in improve such as a doctor, soldier or a merchant.
The where: The where is to establish where the action is taking place such as, the mountains, space, the dessert, etc.
The what: The what is to establish the actions that are taking place such as having a doctor appointment, exploring, or hunting.
Show don't tell is simply to act instead of saying what you are going to be doing unless the action could be interpreted in several ways if you are trying to reach for an imaginary prop you would want to say what the prop is.
No mistakes means that there are no mistakes in improv you just go with what is given to you even if you break the rules it's fine.
Yes and means that you only add things onto what the other actors are saying don't deny anything.
Don't dictate actions is simply don't tell others what to do during improve as well as don't say what you yourself are doing.
Don't ask questions is to just not ask questions during improve because it ruins the flow of the scene.
Don't use props during improve because they only have one purpose and they can't really be used for anything else.
Don't negotiate during improve about anything relating to the scene as to what you want to happen you just have to go with it.
Don't talk about these events because they can only really be followed up by a question and they ruin the flow of the scene.
You should follow these rules most of the time unless the scene demands other wise you should follow all these rules.
Don't talk to much as that would make it so that other actors are able to add there own ideas to the scene
In improve it is very important to practice and that can be done in a lot of different ways such as taking any house hold item and giving it a story or anything that will improve your quick thinking skills.
Be original come up with your own ideas of what you want to do don't use anyone else idea but build upon others ideas.
Always be ready to have a new character thrown at you and be able to act like that character.
Always have an emotion ready that you would want the character to be acting by such as anger or happiness.
Be brave on stage and don't be nervous if you are brave then you won't worry so your act will be better.
Always listen an be able to jump into the scene at any moment to keep it moving along.
Always try to have a character that has a little bit of yourself inside it as to fall back on.
During improve always try to add to the scene when you can and try your best every time.
