Another argument is the story of Job. Job was a man with no faults and believed in God. Satan said that, if he were to experience suffering, he would lose his faith. God allowed Satan to send anything Job's way, but he cannot kill him. Job''s cattle were stolen by thieves, his sheep and servants killed in a fire, all of his children were killed, and he developed a disease which gave him sores all over his body. Job kept his faith, but once his friends told him he was being punished, he questioned why. However, one of his friends argued that God is testing his faith, and Job repents. God rewards him with a new family, a long life and twice the wealth he had before.
