Mitosis and Meiosis include a certain number of stages. Mitosis has 6 and Meiosis has 9. The stages for Mitosis are Prophase, Metaphase, Anaphase, and Telophase. For Meiosis the stages are similar, but the stages occur twice, for instance, the stages are Prophase 1 and Prophase 2, it is the same for the other stages as well. The result of mitosis is two identical daughter cells from the parent cell and the result of Meiosis is four different cells from the parent cell.
